McCarthy's Garage Inc. operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Barbados.

We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
2. What we collect
If you fill in the form on our contact page, we collect the details you enter: your name, your phone number, your email address if you choose to provide one, the service you are interested in, your vehicle make and model, your preferred date, and anything you write in the message field.
We do not ask for payment card details on this website, and we do not collect them.
3. How your enquiry reaches us
The contact form does not save your details on this website. When you submit it, your answers are placed into a WhatsApp message on your own device, which you then send to us. Your information therefore passes through WhatsApp, owned by Meta Platforms, and is handled under their privacy terms as well as this one. We receive and store it in our WhatsApp Business inbox.
4. Why we use your information
We use it only to reply to you, to quote and carry out the service you asked about, and to keep ordinary business records. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.
5. Information collected automatically
Our website host records standard technical information such as your device type, browser, and approximate location. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
Our contact page shows a Google map. When that map loads, Google may set cookies and collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.
We do not run advertising or profiling trackers on this site.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the providers that help us operate this website and our messaging, namely our website hosting provider, Google for the embedded map, and WhatsApp for enquiries. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to deal with your request and to meet our record keeping and tax obligations. After that they are deleted.
8. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct information that is wrong or no longer accurate
- delete information we no longer need
- stop using your information for a particular purpose
- provide your information in a portable format

9. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Barbados.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top.
